About the Role

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a skilled Road Technician - Flooring Solutions to join our team. As a proud supporter of hiring Military Veterans, we promote a diverse, inspired, supported, and empowered workforce.

This role performs preventive maintenance and repairs equipment at customer locations in the safest and most effective way possible to avoid downtime. Our Flooring Solutions fleet includes industrial sweepers, concrete grinders, flooring preparation equipment, vacuums, and scrubbers. Previous experience with small engines, propane, electrical, and hydraulic systems is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment at customer locations
  • Work with a variety of equipment, including industrial sweepers, concrete grinders, and flooring preparation equipment
  • Previous experience with small engines, propane, electrical, and hydraulic systems is required
  • Participate in our on-call rotation

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required, some trade school or equivalent training desired
  • 1 to 3 years mechanic experience with small engines, propane, electrical, and hydraulic experience
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
  • Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

The Physical Demands of this Role

This role requires bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.
