Indigenous Peer Coordinator
About the Role
Pacific Community Resources Society is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Indigenous Peer Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Indigenous Wellness team, you will play a vital role in supporting the health and well-being of our Indigenous community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide peer support and guidance to Indigenous individuals and families
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders
- Contribute to the development and implementation of culturally sensitive programs and services
- Collaborate with the team to achieve program goals and objectives
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. social work, counseling, Indigenous studies)
- Experience working with Indigenous communities and populations
- Strong understanding of Indigenous cultures and histories
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
