Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Hadoop Developer with a banking/financial background to join our team. As a Hadoop Developer, you will be responsible for designing and coding Hadoop applications to analyze data collections, creating data processing frameworks, extracting data, and isolating data clusters.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders – business and technical
  • Design and develop Hadoop applications to analyze data collections
  • Create data processing frameworks
  • Extract and isolate data clusters
  • Test scripts and analyze results
  • Troubleshoot application bugs
Requirements
  • 5+ years of application development experience in Hadoop, Spark, and Java/Scala
  • 10+ years of application development experience in Java and Spring Framework
  • 5+ years of experience in developing and optimizing Big Data applications using Java/Scala and Spark on Cloudera/HDP
  • Experience in developing/designing micro-service architecture
  • Extensive experience in one of the cloud providers AWS/Azure and migrating large-scale complex projects from on-prem to Cloud including in-between hybrid options
  • Proven hands-on experience in containerization – Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift, etc.
  • Experience in developing applications in Spring & Spring Boot
  • Programming experience in Python (2+ years)
  • Working knowledge of Jenkins CI, Git, CI/CD pipelines
