Job Title: Welding Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Welding Technologist to join our team at InnoTech Alberta, a leading Research and Technology Organization established by the Government of Alberta. As a Welding Technologist, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and management of projects and programs in automated welding and additive manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support projects that utilize InnoTech Alberta's manual and automated welding equipment and auxiliary components.
  • Organize, monitor, and maintain experiments or portions of experiments; design simple experiments; support pilot scale experiments and the development of testing protocols.
  • Build and/or modify equipment for projects and for material testing applications.
  • Evaluate alternative industrial equipment to support projects.
  • Act as a technologist to support internal stakeholder requirements.
Requirements:
  • Technologist diploma in Advanced Welding Technology, Welding Engineering Technology, or similar.
  • Minimum 2 years of welding experience; lesser experience will be considered when combined with education.
  • Direct experience in welding in a research or industrial setting is considered an asset.
