Job Title: Truck Driver - Class 1- Heavy Haul

Golderado Contracting Corp is seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver - Class 1- Heavy Haul, you will be responsible for hauling oversized equipment to various locations in a safe and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Haul overweight heavy equipment to various locations, ensuring safe and efficient transportation.
  • Load and unload heavy equipment, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Read and understand transport plans and permits to ensure obstacle-free routes.
  • Assemble, configure, and disassemble Tractor Trailer combinations as required.
  • Conduct regular visual inspections to ensure compliance with standards and codes.
  • Secure loads correctly and perform pre-trip and in-trip inspections.
  • Pilot over-dimensional loads, requiring exceptional driving skills and knowledge.
  • Operate trucks and trailers in a professional and experienced manner.
  • Attend toolbox/safety meetings to contribute to a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience hauling oversized heavy equipment.
  • Valid Class 1 License with a clean driver's abstract, obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Successful completion of pre-access drug and alcohol testing.
  • CSTS, WHMIS, and TDG certifications (provided by the company).
  • Ability to communicate effectively and interact with colleagues and clients.
  • Proficient in the English language, both verbally and written.
  • Ability to remain alert and maintain concentration during long hours.
  • Good time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Positive and professional attitude, with a commitment to providing superior customer service.
  • Reliable means of transportation required.
Education:

Completion of high school or equivalent is required.
