Job Summary

Colas Western Canada Inc. is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on a variety of heavy equipment, including on-road and off-road vehicles, construction tools, and asphalt/concrete plants.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake replacements.

• Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to identify potential issues and recommend repairs.

• Collaborate with mobile work crews to ensure efficient and effective maintenance and repair operations.

• Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic.

• Strong technical knowledge and mechanical aptitude to perform service on various equipment.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Strong knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, hydraulics, and hydrostatic systems.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
