Job Title: Welder

GM TRUCK & TRAILER REPAIR SERVICES INC. is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and products using various welding techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications, and perform minor repairs on welding equipment as needed.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment, and start up, shut down, adjust, and monitor robotic welding production lines.
  • Determine weldability of materials and fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal as required.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a physically demanding workload. The ability to stand for extended periods and manual dexterity are essential for this role.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, flexibility, and the ability to work as part of a team.
Language:

English is the primary language of communication in this role.

Work Hours:

35 hours per week.
