About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Specialist to join our team at JEEVAN IMPEX INC. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our supermarket/grocery store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Environmental Conditions: Work in all weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and inclement weather.
  • Work Setting: Our supermarket/grocery store is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
  • Tasks:
    • Empty trash cans and other waste containers to maintain a clean and safe environment.
    • Perform minor repairs and adjustments to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
    • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment.
    • Perform minor repairs on appliances to ensure they are in good working condition.
    • Conduct safety and security checks to identify potential hazards and take corrective action.
    • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.
    • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to maintain a high level of hygiene.
    • Work with minimal supervision to ensure the efficient operation of our facilities.
    • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to ensure safe access to our store.
  • Requirements:
    • Steel-toed safety boots are required for this role.
    • Work Term: Permanent
    • Work Language: English
    • Hours: 34 to 44 hours per week
