Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Cashier to join our team at 7133081 Manitoba Ltd.. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth transactions at our point of sale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transaction Management: Operate the cash register efficiently, processing payments through various methods including cash, cheques, and credit/debit cards.
  • Customer Interaction: Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases, ensuring a pleasant shopping experience.
  • Inventory Management: Stock shelves and maintain cleanliness in the checkout area, contributing to an organized store environment.
  • Payment Reconciliation: Calculate daily or shift payments received and reconcile with total sales, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions.
  • Assistance with Self-Checkout: Support customers using self-checkout machines, providing guidance as needed.
  • Age Verification: Verify the age of customers purchasing restricted items such as lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products.
Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
Work Environment

This position is set in a fast-paced environment, requiring the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
