Physiotherapist Specialist

Job Summary:

The Physiotherapist Specialist at The EMP is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care by promoting, maintaining, and restoring functional performance. This role is part of an interdisciplinary team that works together to provide comprehensive care to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and provide physiotherapy services to patients, ensuring a high level of care and attention to detail.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop effective treatment plans.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote healthy habits and independence.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in physiotherapy to ensure the highest level of care.
• Work efficiently as a member of the team, demonstrating leadership and coaching skills, strong interpersonal skills, and good judgment and decision-making skills.
• Maintain a high regard for confidentiality and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor and/or Master's Degree of Science in Physiotherapy or an equivalent.
• Registration and membership in good standing with the College of Physiotherapist of New Brunswick and eligibility for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
• Knowledge of the target population of Extra-Mural Services and available community services.
• Valid New Brunswick Class 5 Driver's License and good driving record (proof required).
• Current CPR Level C certification that has been issued in the last 12 months, or be prepared to obtain within 3 months.
• Ability to work all shifts as assigned, maintaining a good attendance record.
