Teaching Opportunity for Aspiring Educators

Niagara Catholic District School Board is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Non-Certified Occasional Teachers. This role is ideal for those working towards their teaching certification and looking for hands-on experience in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing lesson plans left by the classroom teacher where possible
  • Maintaining proper order and discipline in the teacher's classroom, while on duty in the school and on the school grounds
  • Remaining in contact with the School Principal or Vice Principal on a frequent basis throughout the school day to ensure student safety

Requirements:

  • Resume (upon applying)
  • Vulnerable Sector Police Check (required prior to starting in a school)
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma
  • Proof that you are currently enrolled in a post-secondary university program working towards obtaining your teaching certificate
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in a school setting is preferred

Working Conditions:
