Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Dairy Queen. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish Methods to Meet Work Schedules: Develop and implement efficient methods to meet work schedules, ensuring that our team is well-prepared to handle customer demand.
  • Requisition Food and Kitchen Supplies: Source and procure high-quality food and kitchen supplies, maintaining a well-stocked inventory to meet customer needs.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities of Staff: Lead and direct the activities of our food service staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that our customers receive exceptional service.
  • Train Staff in Job Duties, Sanitation, and Safety Procedures: Develop and deliver training programs to ensure that our staff is knowledgeable about job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Estimate Ingredient and Supplies Required for Meal Preparation: Conduct regular inventory checks to estimate the quantity of ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, minimizing waste and ensuring that our customers receive high-quality products.
  • Ensure Food and Service Meet Quality Control Standards: Monitor and maintain high-quality food and service standards, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional dining experiences.
  • Prepare Budget and Cost Estimates: Develop and manage budgets and cost estimates, ensuring that our food service department operates efficiently and effectively.
  • Address Customers' Complaints or Concerns: Respond promptly to customer complaints and concerns, resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain Records of Stock, Repairs, Sales, and Wastage: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Prepare Food Order Summaries for Chef: Prepare detailed summaries of food orders for our chef, ensuring that our menu items are prepared to the highest standards.
  • Supervise and Check Assembly of Trays: Supervise and inspect the assembly of trays, ensuring that our customers receive high-quality food products.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment, responding to customer demands and ensuring that our food service department operates efficiently.
  • Standing for Extended Periods: Stand for extended periods, moving around the food service area to supervise and direct staff.
  • Bending, Crouching, Kneeling: Perform bending, crouching, and kneeling movements to access storage areas and maintain a clean and organized food service environment.

Experience:
  • 1 Year to Less Than 2 Years: Possess at least 1 year of experience in a food service supervisory role, with a strong understanding of food service operations and customer service principles.
