About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Sawmill Prime Rib & Steak House Grande Prairie. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring their safety and satisfaction.
  • Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and effective operation of the kitchen.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a high level of hygiene and organization.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment with a fast-paced and physically demanding work environment.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for extended periods, work under pressure, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication skills, dependability, flexibility, initiative, and a team player attitude.
Working Conditions
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
