The Role

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our technology delivery team, you will design, build, deploy, and manage the infrastructure that our client's applications run on. Your expertise will be instrumental in architecting and building app platforms at scale using Infrastructure as Code platforms like Terraform.

Responsibilities
  • Design cloud infrastructure components based on application architecture and requirements.
  • Build and deploy these components using Terraform.
  • Set up CI/CD pipelines.
  • Mentor team members on good practices and problem resolution.
  • Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies, infrastructure, and frameworks.
  • Be the subject matter expert during incidents and support the team on resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Design and implement processes and tools with the team.
  • Work with the latest technologies in AWS/GCP/Azure and stay current while innovating.
  • Lead the creation of automation and deployments pipelines for applications.
  • Deploy new and existing applications to production and lower environments.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot complex issues and support applications in all environments.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of network topology and creating secure network communications between resources in a VPC.
  • Understanding of Terraform or another IaC language.
  • Understanding of GCP is required.
  • Experience with building/deploying/managing AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD and tools like Bitbucket, GitHub Actions, and GitLab.
  • Ability to provide expert opinion on infrastructure monitoring tooling and best practices.
  • Experience working with containerized microservice applications.
  • Ability to consult on cost-effective solutions for the present and future.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure security practices.
  • Ability to analyze metrics from distributed applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding.
  • Experience with Agile processes, testing, and code review.
  • Strong experience with scripting - shell, Python, etc.
  • Excellent customer service attitude, communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
