About the Role

Aversan Inc. is seeking a highly skilled FPGA Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and verifying FPGAs using Verilog/VHDL, optimizing FPGA code to minimize resources, and verifying FPGAs using latest tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lab Testing: Conduct lab tests to characterize components and generate reports on test results.
  • FPGA Design and Verification: Design and verify FPGAs using Verilog/VHDL, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
  • Code Optimization: Optimize FPGA code to minimize resources and improve performance.
  • Verification and Debugging: Verify FPGAs using latest tools and debug issues on the hardware platform.
  • Micro-Architecture and Design: Invent, document, and implement micro-architecture and design details for new product features.
  • Physical Implementation: Implement FPGAs in FPGA targets for emulation, ensuring timing closure and debug.
  • SOC Integration: Integrate processor-based SOC (Target ASIC or FPGA) and ensure seamless functionality.
Requirements
  • Hardware Integration and Test: Experience with hardware-based integration and test of ASIC/FPGA designs.
  • Professional Experience: Professional experience with hardware-based integration and test of ASIC/FPGA designs.
  • Team Collaboration: Proven record of working with ASIC/FPGA design and/or verification teams, including tracking and reporting progress to stakeholders.
  • Hardware Emulators: Experience with hardware emulators.
  • Verification Languages: Proficiency with hardware verification languages: System Verilog, System Verilog Assertions.
  • Test Planning and Development: Ability to create test plans and self-checking and reusable testbenches from scratch.
  • Functional Coverage Models: Experience developing Functional Coverage Models and Closing Code Coverage.
  • Revision Control Systems: Familiarity with revision control systems: svn, cvs, git.
  • Xilinx FPGA Tools: Experience with Xilinx FPGA tools (Vivado, Vitis, HLS), embedded software development, FPGA logic design (VHDL/Verilog).
  • Networking and Data Interfaces: Familiarity with Ethernet networking, data interfaces, and Xilinx architecture/platforms.
