Family Support Professional

Bridgeway Family Homes is seeking a highly skilled Family Support Professional to provide goal-focused services to families, children, and youth in our Specialized Foster Homes.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced individual to provide services between 20-40 hours per week, including evening and weekend sessions, to support families and individuals with a range of social, emotional, behavioural, and academic challenges.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our team to provide scheduled, goal-focused services to families and individuals
  • Develop and implement goal-focused activities to support client needs
  • Maintain accurate case notes, reports, and administrative tasks
  • Transport children/youth while providing services
Qualifications
  • Certificate, diploma, or degree in a social service discipline (e.g. Child and Youth Care, Developmental Service Worker)
  • Experience providing services to children/youth and/or families with a variety of needs
  • Current Verbal De-escalation Certification and experience in crisis prevention
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification
  • Knowledge of FASD, ODD, autism, ADHD, anxiety disorders, and other diagnoses
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, and report-writing skills
Requirements
  • Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Current Child Welfare Record Check
  • Driver's Abstract, Class "G" Driver's License
  • Access to an insured vehicle with $2 million liability insurance
