We are seeking a highly skilled Power Engineer & NDT Program Supervisor to join our team at Teck Resources. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of our boilers, pressure vessels, refrigeration, and pressure piping systems.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Safety: Provide courageous leadership in safety and environmental matters, adhering to and sponsoring safety and environmental rules and procedures.
- Equipment Maintenance: Monitor preventative maintenance and logbooks on boilers, ensuring they are maintained according to code and receive relevant inspections.
- Pressure Vessel Management: Monitor and arrange for departments to maintain pressure reducing valves on pressure vessels and compressors.
- Condition Monitoring: Inspect the steam boilers and pressure vessels at regular intervals for condition monitoring.
- Training and Development: Coordinate and facilitate the training of operations personnel to maintain 5th Class shift engineers at site.
- NDT and Inspection: Arrange for the non-destructive testing and inspection of all pressure vessels, boilers, lifting devices, and cranes on site, assigning work to correct deficiencies according to code.
- Lifting Device Management: Monitor and arrange for departments to maintain lifting devices.
- Equipment Replacement: Coordinate the additions, replacement, and repairs of lifting devices with Engineering on site and/or a third party.
- Certifications: Valid 4th Class Power Engineering Certification or higher.
- Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who possess the following qualifications:
- Qualified to CGSB Level 2 UT (Ultrasonic).
- Qualified to CGSB Level 2 MT (Magnetic Particle).
- Qualified to CGSB Level 2 PT (Liquid Penetrant).
- Qualified to the requirements of CSA Standard W178.2 (Weld Inspection).
- Experience and qualifications in infrared thermography.
- Experience and qualifications in positive material identification.
- Experience: 3-5 years' previous experience in non-destructive testing.
- Skills: Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license.
