Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Creating, implementing, and executing all pastry and bakery menus
  • Baking and preparing a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, tarts, and desserts
  • Ensuring mise en place is ready for upcoming demands
  • Maintaining organization and timely delivery of all food prepared by the team
  • Providing guidance and support to team members, maximizing their skills and capabilities
  • Serving as a role model through daily observations and assistance
  • Upholding a clean and safe work environment
  • Fostering positive relationships with other departments

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen or banquet operations
  • An Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyman Cook Certificate
  • A degree in culinary or hospitality management is advantageous
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization abilities
  • Comfort in a fast-paced culinary environment
  • Excellent verbal communication and problem-solving skills
  • A well-developed palate and sense of smell
