We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to lead our expanding backend engineering team. Our real-time advertising bidding system processes millions of requests per second and manages several terabytes of data daily. Our technology stack includes Go, Ruby on Rails, Aerospike, Redis, Elasticsearch, Kafka, RocksDB, Redshift, ScyllaDB, GraphQL, and more. We embrace experimentation with new technologies.

StackAdapt operates as a Remote First company, welcoming candidates from anywhere in North America for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Integrate data into StackAdapt's Customer Data Platform (CDP).
  • Design scalable, low-latency backend systems and data pipelines, writing code as necessary to support the team.
  • Provide technical leadership in crafting scalable solutions and best practices.
  • Positively influence the team's productivity and growth.
  • Advocate for software development best practices and conduct thorough code reviews.
  • Identify and address technical challenges rigorously.
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
  • Experience in Adtech or Martech is advantageous.
  • A proven history of developing scalable pipelines and services.
  • Familiarity with managing large datasets in low-latency environments.
  • At least 5 years of software development experience in distributed systems, focusing on architecting scalable microservices and data pipelines within a successful high-growth technology company.
  • A solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Up-to-date knowledge and experience with the latest technologies, tools, and frameworks.
  • Experience with Go and high-performance databases is a plus.
