About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Ethnic Food Preparation Specialist to join our team at Kang's Dhaba & Pizza. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of ethnic dishes for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation: Determine the size of food portions and costs, and prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive dining experience.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and ensure that all kitchen areas are clean and well-organized.
  • Staff Training: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and ensure that all staff members are aware of food safety and handling procedures.
  • Culinary Expertise: Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by a dietitian or chef, and maintain a high level of culinary expertise in ethnic cuisine.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset, with a strong background in ethnic cuisine and food preparation.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: 32 to 40 hours per week.
