Portfolio Management Analyst, Quantitative Equity Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Portfolio Management Analyst to join our Quantitative Equity Team at Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group.
Key Responsibilities- Portfolio Management: Manage the systematic daily execution of portfolio management, including portfolio rebalancing (equities and FX), portfolio transitions, and cash flow management.
- Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth data analysis to support portfolio management decisions and performance evaluation.
- Model Implementation: Assist in implementing and maintaining quantitative models used in portfolio construction.
- Risk Management: Monitor portfolio risk and ensure compliance with investment guidelines.
- Investment Workflow Improvements: Identify, propose, and collaborate on enhancements to existing processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of our portfolio management capabilities.
- Cross Team Support: Collaborate with portfolio managers, traders, data analysts, and other team members to ensure seamless integration of research and trading activities.
- Analytical Mindset: Think critically and creatively with a balance of intuition and statistical validation.
- Portfolio Management Knowledge: Possess a thorough understanding of key drivers of portfolio management, including portfolio construction, financial theory, economic models, and corporate financial statements.
- Self-Starter: Be motivated and willing to take personal accountability for quality and timeliness of work.
- Collaborative Approach: Thrive in a collaborative environment and value shared success. Proactively solicit and provide input and excel at communicating complex and technical concepts.
- Time Management: Have the proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple ongoing projects and daily responsibilities.
- Academic Training: Undergraduate degree in finance, mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, or related discipline. Completion of CFA or relevant graduate degree is considered an asset.
- Industry Experience: Have 2-4 years of experience in portfolio management, quantitative finance, equity investment analysis, data science, or a related field.
