Job Summary:
The Plant Foreman is a key member of our operations team at West Coast Reduction Ltd. This role is responsible for the overall management of our production facility, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment for our employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct plant employees to ensure optimal production yields and product quality.
- Schedule and coordinate workforce to meet production demands.
- Motivate production staff to stay productive and engaged.
- Monitor and report on day-to-day performance of plant employees.
- Assist production staff with day-to-day operations and provide guidance as needed.
- Act as a liaison between plant employees and management.
- Identify and address mechanical problems in the plant.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including organizing painting or special cleaning tasks.
- Coordinate the receipt of raw materials and equipment.
- Liaise with outside governing agencies and contractors.
Requirements:
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in a leadership capacity at an industrial plant environment or similar business.
- Experience operating a variety of mobile equipment, including forklifts and skid steers.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Able to work well with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks.
- Ticketed trade considered an asset.
- Ability to frequently move, carry, lift, push, and pull equipment up to 60 lbs without assistance and occasionally greater with assistance.
- Perform repetitive motions, including bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and reaching overhead above the shoulders daily.
- Adaptable to adverse conditions, including confined space, heights, cold weather, odors, and animal by-products.

This role is critical to the success of our operations team at West Coast Reduction Ltd. The Plant Foreman will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our production facility, and will be responsible for supervising and directing plant employees to meet production demands.
