X-ray Technologist

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Combined Laboratory X-ray Technologist to join our team at the Sparwood Health Centre and Elkford Health Centre. As a CLXT, you will work in both laboratory and medical imaging departments, performing routine laboratory, x-ray, and ECG procedures.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time opportunity that offers a competitive salary, generous relocation assistance, and a range of benefits. You will work rotating day shifts Monday to Friday with on-call duties until 19:30. Weekend shifts and statutory holidays are on-call only from 08:00-19:30.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory, x-ray, and ECG procedures in accordance with departmental policies and standards.
• Maintain equipment and troubleshoot problems as required.
• Work collaboratively with the laboratory and medical imaging teams to provide high-quality patient care.

About Our Location

Sparwood is a mountain town located 18km west of the Alberta border, with a population of 4200 residents. Elkford is a picturesque Rocky Mountain town with a population of around 3000 residents. Both towns offer a range of outdoor activities and a relaxed lifestyle.

Qualifications
• Graduation from an approved Combined Laboratory X-Ray Technician program.
• Eligible for registration with a provincial licensing body.
• One year of general experience in both laboratory and diagnostic imaging fields or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
