Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Manager of Cage Operations, this role is pivotal in the accurate counting and management of cash assets within the gaming environment. The incumbent will play a crucial part in fostering a secure and inviting atmosphere for all personnel while ensuring compliance with company protocols and procedures. This position emphasizes leadership through example and supports the educational initiatives of Great Canadian Entertainment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Accurately counting and verifying bills, coins, and cash equivalents.
  • Organizing and safeguarding the storage of count carts, drop boxes, and bill cartridges.
  • Reporting any suspicious cash activities or discrepancies.
  • Conducting thorough verification and reconciliation processes before and after cash counts.
  • Securing, bagging, and transporting cash counts efficiently.
  • Providing essential information for financial reporting.
  • Maintaining effective communication with relevant operational departments.
  • Developing strong professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensuring adherence to licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and other legal requirements.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned or directed by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in high-volume cash handling and counting.
  • Certification in food safety.
  • Capability to obtain a Gaming License successfully.

Work Environment Considerations

  • Primarily a back-office setting, requiring prolonged periods of standing or sitting.
  • Morning Shifts - All shifts commence at either 4:00 AM, 5:00 AM, or 6:00 AM.
