About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Design and Drafting Technologist to join our team at Sky Contracting Inc. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating detailed engineering designs and drawings, working closely with our engineers and production specialists to ensure that our projects are completed on time and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Drafting: Prepare detailed engineering designs and drawings, using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other design tools.
  • Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and other documentation to determine work requirements and ensure accuracy.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train other drafting personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Design Development: Develop and prepare design sketches, construction specifications, costs, and material estimates, as well as prepare contracts and tenders.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Write technical reports, specifications, and other documentation, and complete documentation packages and drawing sets.
  • Quality Control: Examine drawings for conformity and errors, and consult with clients, engineers, and production specialists to establish product requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
