Project Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our team at Hall Constructors. As a Project Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the success of our construction projects, ensuring that all aspects of project planning, coordination, and execution are carried out efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Project Superintendent in planning, coordinating, and supervising construction activities, including crew and equipment management.
  • Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations for construction projects by implementing the Company's OH&S management system.
  • Organize and maintain project site files and documents, manage electronic document databases, and/or file sharing sites.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate documents for the project, including drawings, plans, submittals, document logs, and purchase orders.
  • Liaise with architects, consulting engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers regarding the contract, change notices, design revisions, RFIs, RFQ, etc.
  • Prepare for and participate in meetings with the project team, architects, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and distribute accurate/detailed meeting minutes in a timely manner.
  • Assist with final quality document turnover to the client at project completion.
  • Provide other technical office support as required by the project team.
  • Support the project controls and tracking system.
  • Maintain project compliance to cost codes by reviewing productions and quantities on HCSS for accuracy and while sending Daily Quantity Reports to clients for unit rate projects.
  • Assist the site supervisor with field staff administrative duties as required.
  • Assist in the development of progress claims.
  • Support the project quality control program and/or the quality management system.
  • Work on a job site, from a construction site trailer.
  • Travel to/from/within job sites.
  • Daily exposure to a construction environment, including heavy equipment, oncoming traffic, and inclement weather.
Requirements:
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada - Valid working Visa, PR, or Citizenship required.
  • Must have good English communication (verbal and written).
  • 0-3 years of experience in project coordination is preferred (new grads welcome - apprenticeship OK).
  • Civil Engineering Degree or Civil Engineering Technologist or Technician Diploma.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in safely working in and around construction sites.
  • Proficient working with MS Office Suite.
  • Experience working with CAD software, Bluebeam, time scheduling software.
