About the Opportunity

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Support Services Attendant to join our team at Orchard Court in Kentville, Nova Scotia.

As a Support Services Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, including dusting, cleaning, and polishing furniture and surfaces. You will also be responsible for cleaning sinks, toilets, and bath facilities, as well as filling and replenishing supplies in resident rooms and common areas.

Additionally, you will be responsible for sorting and processing laundry, including operating washing machines and dryers, and delivering clean laundry to resident areas.

We are looking for someone who is able to work independently and as part of a team, and who is able to learn and adapt to new situations quickly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dusts, cleans, and polishes furniture, counters, shelving, walls, and window/door ledges.
  • Cleans sinks, toilets, and bath facilities.
  • Fills and replenishes supplies in resident rooms, nursing units, and rest rooms.
  • Sorts and processes laundry, including operating washing machines and dryers.
  • Delivers clean laundry to resident areas.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year experience in commercial housekeeping and/or laundry preferred.
  • Ability to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work a schedule of flexible hours/shifts, including days, weekends, and holidays.
