About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Janitorial Assistant to join our team at Sidhu Great Construction Group Ltd. As a Janitorial Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweeping and Mopping: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Industrial Cleaning: Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse.
  • Waste Management: Empty trash cans and other waste containers to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Window and Surface Cleaning: Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and visually appealing environment.
  • Heavy Lifting and Moving: Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies to ensure efficient workflow and storage.
Support for Diverse Groups
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, including housing, transportation, storage, childcare, and winter clothing.
  • Support for Youths: Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth to help them develop new skills and gain work experience.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Provide mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers to help them succeed in their roles.
  • Support for Mature Workers: Provide staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
Work Environment
  • Work Term: Permanent position with a regular schedule.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
