About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Labourer - Wood Processing Specialist to join our team at Simard Cuisine et Salle de Bains. As a Labourer - Wood Processing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the operation of various woodworking machines and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Operation: Assist other processing workers in the operation of various woodworking machines and equipment, including conveyors, hoppers, saws, and drying machines.
  • Material Handling: Sort, pile, and transport wood products with precision and efficiency.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean machines and immediate work areas to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Work Site Environment: Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment.
  • Physical Demands: Handling heavy loads, physically demanding, manual dexterity, attention to detail, and standing for extended periods.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Familiarity with saws and other woodworking equipment.
  • Security and Safety: Ability to pass a criminal record check.
  • Transportation and Travel: Own transportation and ability to travel as required.
