Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Printing Press Operator to join our team at Specialized Marking Systems Ltd.. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in press operations and will be responsible for overseeing the production process to ensure high-quality output.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years in a similar role
Key Responsibilities
  • Mount and adjust plates or cylinders as needed
  • Prepare and manage production schedules effectively
  • Fill ink fountains while controlling color and viscosity
  • Plan and optimize production methods
  • Estimate costs associated with production
  • Set up the press and operate at a slow speed to verify sample quality
  • Provide instruction and guidance to apprentices
  • Monitor the press run for quality using a computer control console
  • Remove and clean plates and cylinders post-production
  • Set up and fine-tune in-line binding and finishing equipment
  • Lead the press crew in setting up, operating, and shutting down the press
