We are seeking a skilled Carpentry Specialist to join our team at SNS Construction Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in all aspects of carpentry.
Key Responsibilities- Estimating and Planning: Prepare detailed estimates of labor and material costs for construction projects.
- Site Management: Schedule and coordinate work on construction sites, ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Carpentry and Joinery: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials to create high-quality structures.
- Supervision and Training: Supervise and instruct apprentices, ensuring they receive the necessary training and guidance to excel in their roles.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and repair equipment and machinery used in carpentry and woodworking.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team environment, and physical stamina to perform demanding tasks.
The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced construction environment, with regular exposure to dust, noise, and physical demands. The ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work at heights is essential.
