Position Overview We are currently in search of a skilled and motivated Lead Financial Accountant. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the general ledger, supervising daily accounting operations, and facilitating financial reporting. This position demands a solid foundation in accounting principles, expertise in month-end and year-end closing processes, and a collaborative spirit. Key Responsibilities
  • Guarantee the accurate closure of all ledgers in accordance with the month-end timeline and present results for review.
  • Oversee actuals and plans for ledgers along with bank reconciliations.
  • Assist in various account reconciliations and analyses.
  • Timely reconcile, analyze, and monitor assigned general ledger accounts, addressing any discrepancies.
  • Support the corporate month-end closing process.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and conduct income statement account analyses.
  • Maintain prepaid schedules and manage monthly cost allocations.
  • Aid in the preparation of annual expense budgets for all departments.
  • Process business transactions, manage invoices, and verify financial data for accounts payable.
  • Provide necessary clerical support to fulfill the organization's financial obligations.
  • Keep meticulous records of outstanding payables.
  • Ensure the accuracy of financial documents for payment, auditing, and tax purposes.
  • Monitor payments to vendors to ensure timely processing.
  • Manage a high volume of invoices while maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a General Ledger Accountant.
  • Proficient in using an ERP system.
  • Strong skills in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Additional experience in Audit and ASPE is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with progress towards CPA certification.
