Occupational Therapist

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our Citywide Community Program team.
This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals experiencing functional impairment and acute/chronic disease within various community settings.
Your Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized care plans, addressing the unique needs of clients and their families across diverse settings.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including family members, educational resources, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive client support.
- Contribute to program quality assurance initiatives, research endeavors, and educational programs within occupational therapy.
Home Health programs at Vancouver Coastal Health provide a wide range of healthcare and support services to individuals residing in the community who require acute, chronic, palliative, or rehabilitative care.
The Client PopulationOur Home Health clients often present with ongoing health issues and/or complex personal and social challenges, necessitating careful care planning and coordination of resources. This diverse population includes frail elderly individuals, younger clients with disabilities, and adults managing chronic illnesses who require support to maintain or enhance their independence.
Qualifications- Current full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC).
- Eligibility for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT).
- Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality, client-centered care.
