Key Responsibilities:

As a Retail Cashier, you will play a vital role in ensuring that every customer feels welcomed and valued through:

  • Customer Engagement: Utilize your knowledge of liquor products to assist customers, recommend items, and promote sales effectively.
  • Transaction Processing: Handle cash and electronic payments accurately using the Point-of-Sale system, ensuring compliance with age restrictions for tobacco and lottery products.
  • Order Fulfillment: Prepare and pack customer orders with care.
  • Delivery Operations: Manage the delivery vehicle to transport liquor orders to customers efficiently.
  • Inventory Management: Stock shelves and maintain product presentation within the Liquor Department.
  • Store Maintenance: Perform general housekeeping duties, including opening and closing tasks, while being vigilant about product security.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a passion for customer service and meet the following criteria:

  • Must be at least 19 years old.
  • Hold or be willing to obtain Serve it Right certification.
  • Possess a valid Class 5 Driver's license.
  • Demonstrate honesty, reliability, and a commitment to excellence.
  • Have prior retail experience, particularly in customer service, cash handling, and merchandising; experience in the liquor sector is advantageous.
  • Be flexible to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Show willingness to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques through ongoing training.
  • Value teamwork and collaboration, recognizing the importance of diverse perspectives in achieving common goals.
  • Be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and kneeling as required.

Reporting Structure: This position reports to the Liquor Manager.
