Position Overview

Join our team at Saunders Motors Co. Ltd. as an Automotive Body Technician, where you will play a crucial role in restoring vehicles to their original condition. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is mandatory.
Work Environment

The work environment can be noisy, and you will need to be prepared for the sounds associated with automotive repair.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and organize your workspace to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Guide and mentor apprentices in the art of body repair.
  • Replace essential components including front ends, body parts, doors, and underbody sections.
  • Prepare surfaces for repair by filing, grinding, and sanding.
  • Mask and tape areas of the vehicle in preparation for painting.
  • Utilize hammers and blocks to correct dents and imperfections.
  • Remove damaged parts and install replacements through bolting or welding.
  • Repair or replace interior components as necessary.
  • Fix or replace windows, windshields, and sunroofs.
  • Mix and match paint colors to achieve the desired finish.
  • Use soldering tools or plastic fillers to address holes and seams.
  • Straighten bent frames using specialized equipment.
Physical and Personal Attributes
  • Must possess strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to bend, crouch, and kneel as required.
  • Willingness to stand for extended periods.
  • Demonstrate reliability and a strong team spirit.
  • Exhibit excellent oral communication skills and client-focused service.
  • Show flexibility, initiative, and sound judgment in all tasks.
Experience Requirements

A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience is preferred. This is a permanent position requiring a commitment of 35 hours per week.
