Pharmacy Manager Job Description

At Save-On-Foods, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Manager to join our team at our Ladner location in Delta, BC. As a Pharmacy Manager, you will play a key role in the success of our store by demonstrating our company mission of Always Customer First and embodying our core values of Service, People, Innovation, Fun, and Integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day Pharmacy Dispensary operations, including receiving, preparation, packaging, dispensing, distribution, and storage of drugs and pharmaceuticals.
  • Provide clinical leadership, including drug use evaluation, medication reviews, adaptations, injection administration, prescription and non-prescription counseling, and recommendations.
  • Compounding prescribed pharmaceutical products by calculating, measuring, and mixing the quantities of drugs and other ingredients required and filling appropriate containers with the correct quantity.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community partners to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Manage inventory, team member scheduling, training, and development.
  • Identify and map business strengths and patient needs, developing and implementing business growth strategies and plans.
  • Enforce policies and best practice protocols relating to pharmacy practice and drug distribution.
Requirements:
  • Pharmacist license in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia or equivalent regulatory body.
  • Completed the mandatory BC Community Pharmacy Manager Training Program (BC only).
  • Completed the Opioid Agonist Treatment Compliance and Management Program (OAT-CAMPP).
  • Injection Certification.
  • Minimum 1 year of pharmacist experience.
