Custodian (FT Leave Replacement) - Facilities Services

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our Facilities Services team at the College of New Caledonia (CNC) in Prince George. As a Custodian, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of our campus facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and maintain all areas of the campus, including floors, stairwells, washrooms, and windows
- Restock hygienic supplies and perform building upkeep, such as floor refinishing and carpet cleaning
- Maintain custodial equipment and perform minor and scheduled maintenance
- Assist with emergency procedures, including fire alarms and emergency evacuation
- Lock all doors and windows, and assist the public and students with directions
- Monitor and report malfunctions or required building maintenance
- Minimum of grade 10 completion
- 6 months or more previous institutional or commercial custodial experience
- Knowledge of custodial equipment and chemicals used
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and organize workload in an efficient manner
- Ability to work within and contribute to a proactive team environment
- Physical ability to complete job demands
This is a full-time, leave replacement position that requires shift work, with a focus on night shift. The term of this leave replacement is as stated or until the incumbent returns to work.
