Job Title: Tax Lawyer

At destinationone Consulting, we are seeking a highly skilled Tax Lawyer to join our team. As a Tax Lawyer, you will provide expert legal advice on tax-related matters to clients, including individuals, businesses, and organizations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic advice on federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize tax efficiencies.
  • Represent clients in disputes and negotiations with tax authorities.
  • Prepare and review tax filings, including corporate, partnership, and individual returns.
  • Conduct tax due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and provide strategic advice based on new developments.
Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Membership in good standing with the provincial Bar.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax law.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
