About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Software Engineer to join our team at Thomson Reuters. As a key member of our Document Intelligence team, you will play a critical role in driving the development of cutting-edge software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop multi-tenant cloud-based software and microservices with a focus on quality, scalability, and reliability.
  • Lead the development team in translating product requirements into scoped engineering efforts, providing technical leadership and proposing architectural/implementation ideas.
  • Utilize data to inform decision-making and guide priorities, holding others accountable to the same standards.
  • Mentor junior development staff through active listening and pair programming, promoting best practices and Agile/Scrum principles.
  • Develop code in accordance with agreed-upon best practices, bringing innovative ideas to the table to enhance team performance.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of cloud software development experience, with a strong background in both front-end and back-end development.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming languages, preferably C# and.NET Core.
  • Understanding of version control systems, such as Git.
  • Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture and cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure or analogous technologies in AWS or GCP.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a passion for problem-solving and a self-motivated approach.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with TypeScript, AODA, Office JS, or LLM.
