About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and physically capable Trades Assistant to join our team at DELTA AJ HOLDINGS INC. as a Construction Support Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our construction team with various tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of our construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Assist in loading and unloading construction materials, ensuring they are properly secured and transported to the site.
  • Material Handling: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt, as well as assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction.
  • Site Support: Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites, framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Demolition and Debris Removal: Assist in demolishing buildings and removing rubble and other debris at construction sites.
  • Machine Operation: Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, ensuring they are properly maintained and operated.
  • Traffic Control: Direct traffic at or near construction sites, ensuring the safety of workers and the general public.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This is a physically demanding role that requires working in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and working in various weather conditions.

Requirements
  • Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Flexibility: Must be able to adapt to changing work schedules and priorities.
  • Team Player: Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with colleagues and supervisors.
