About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at Maple Drywall Ltd. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead a team of drywall installers to ensure high-quality installations and meet project deadlines.
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for installation, including cutting and installing metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets, positioning and securing them to metal or wooden studs or joists.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coats to dry, ensuring a professional finish.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced construction environment, requiring physical stamina and the ability to work at heights.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1-2 years of experience in drywall installation.
  • Ability to work at heights and in a physically demanding environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Reliability, dependability, and a strong work ethic.
