Key Responsibilities:
The Healthcare Service Coordinator is tasked with overseeing patient access and flow management around the clock. This role includes leading a multidisciplinary team during daily bed management meetings. During off-hours, weekends, and holidays, the Coordinator will also manage the overall administration and supervision of all departments and personnel in the absence of management and administrative staff.

The Coordinator will foster an environment that encourages professional practice and guide the team in applying evidence-based methodologies within a patient-centered care framework whenever feasible. The Coordinator will cultivate a setting that prioritizes staff and patient safety while driving quality improvement initiatives. Effective communication with an inter-professional team and community partners is essential to facilitate patient and family-centered care.

Required Qualifications:
Current registration with an Ontario Health Professions College Bachelor's Degree in a health-related field or equivalent At least 2 years of recent and relevant leadership experience Previous clinical experience of 3-5 years Membership in a professional association as applicable Strong interpersonal, coaching, mentoring, and team-building skills that promote positive interactions among healthcare team members. Highly developed analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities with a proven capacity to implement and effectively manage change. Demonstrated commitment to a patient and family-centered philosophy. Proven focus on patient and staff safety through quality management practices. Experience in a unionized environment is advantageous Strong clinical decision-making and organizational capabilities with a dedication to professional growth. Flexible, organized, and self-motivated; demonstrates initiative and independent judgment. Ability to provide leadership, support, and critical analysis in high-pressure, complex clinical and emotional scenarios. Possesses effective communication and conflict resolution skills.
