Automotive Technician

At Midas, we are dedicated to providing exceptional services to our customers' vehicles in the areas of inspection, diagnosis, and repair. As an apprentice automotive technician, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of experienced professionals and gain hands-on experience in the latest automotive repair techniques.
Responsibilities:- Perform diagnostics using state-of-the-art computer systems
- Conduct tire and tire repair services
- Work on car heating and air conditioning systems
- Repair steering and suspension systems
- Replace belts and hoses
- Service radiator and engine cooling systems
- Work on batteries, starting, and charging systems
- Repair brake systems
- Perform oil services
- Diagnose and repair check engine light issues
- Provide muffler and exhaust services
- Conduct visual safety and courtesy inspections
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of automotive brakes, exhaust, suspension, tires, and basic engine diagnostics
- Track record of high personal productivity
- Knowledge of and adherence to safety and environmental standards for repair facilities
- Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines, and diagnostic tools
- Provincial Certificate of Qualification
- Valid driver's license
- Own tools/equipment (diagnostic scanner/tools preferred)
- Able to service both import and domestic vehicles
- Salary $16-18/hour
- Ability to work flexible schedule including Saturdays
