Early Childhood Educator Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the YMCA of Oakville. As a key member of our Child Care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our youngest learners.

Responsibilities
  • Implement the nationally recognized YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum
  • Create warm and welcoming environments that ensure the safety and well-being of children
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with families through effective communication
  • Assist with meal and snack preparation, setup, and cleanup
  • Comply with the Child Care Early Years Act, YMCA Policies, and YMCA Child Protection Policy
Requirements
  • College Diploma or University Degree in Early Childhood Education, and certified through the College of Early Childhood Educators (RECE)
  • Experience working with toddlers and preschool children and families
  • Passion for planning and facilitating high-quality play-based experiences
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • A flexible and collaborative team player with a strong work ethic
  • Commitment to working in a socially inclusive environment
