Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a trades certificate or diploma in welding or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year and up to 2 years of relevant experience in welding.
Work Environment

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in an industrial setting that may be dusty, hot, and noisy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and apply welding process specifications.
  • Read and analyze welding blueprints, drawings, and manuals.
  • Operate manual and semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
  • Utilize metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines.
  • Fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal components.
  • Handle oxygen arc cutting equipment.
  • Manage hoisting and lifting equipment safely.
  • Operate brazing or soldering machines to bond metals effectively.
Materials and Techniques

Experience with the following materials and techniques is essential:

  • Materials: Aluminum alloys, stainless steel, steel, iron, and heavy metals.
  • Welding Techniques: Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) and flux core arc welding (FCAW).
Equipment Proficiency

Familiarity with the following equipment is required:

  • Arc welding machines
  • Gas welding machines
  • Soldering machines
Specialization Areas

The candidate should have expertise in:

  • Custom fabrication
  • Machinery and equipment repair
  • Factory assembly
  • Working with cast iron and other metals
Physical Requirements

This position requires:

  • Ability to handle heavy loads (up to 45 kg or 100 lbs).
  • Physical stamina and manual dexterity.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to stand for extended periods.
Tools and Equipment

Applicants must possess their own tools, including:

  • Steel-toed safety boots
  • A welding helmet
Employment Details

This is a permanent position with a work schedule of 40 hours per week. The working language is French.
