Job Title: Physiotherapy Helper

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Physiotherapy Helper to join our team at St. Catharines PhysioHeal & Massage. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in supporting our physiotherapists and occupational therapists in providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist healthcare professionals in the delivery of patient care, including setting up and dismantling equipment, cleaning and maintaining equipment, and preparing and maintaining supplies.
  • Develop and implement treatment programs under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities.
  • Document patient rehabilitation progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments, processing files and paperwork, and maintaining inventory.
  • Assist with patient education and health promotion activities.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a physiotherapy or occupational therapy department.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as healthcare administration or a related field.
  • Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare software.
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
Working Conditions:

This is a permanent, full-time position, working 30-40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment and may be required to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
