Job Summary

As a key member of our culinary team, the Cook will be responsible for preparing high-quality food products in accordance with established corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations. The successful candidate will ensure that our residents receive exceptional dining experiences, while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Preparation: Prepare, pre-cook, and/or cook food products as directed, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Inventory Management: Label, date, store, and rotate food and beverage products in appropriate storage areas, ensuring optimal freshness and quality.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Clean kitchen equipment after use, adhering to health and safety policies and procedures, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with all operational departments, ensuring seamless service delivery and maintaining a positive working relationship.
  • Reporting and Maintenance: Report needed maintenance, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor immediately, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing downtime.

Requirements:
  • Culinary Experience: Proven cooking experience, including experience as a restaurant cook or prep cook, with a strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Certifications and Education: Food Safety Certification required, with a certificate from a recognized cooking school or equivalent experience.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining a positive and respectful attitude.
  • Physical Demands: Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position, with the ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
