GFL Environmental is seeking a skilled Lift Truck Operator to join our team at our Materials Recovery Facility in Western Canada.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to safely operate and/or have the experience to operate various heavy equipment, including forklifts, bobcats, backhoes, track hoes, compactors, and steer equipment. This will involve baling, loading, and moving waste material with precision and efficiency.

About the Role:

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate heavy equipment to bale and load waste material into trailers.
  • Perform daily inspection and maintenance checks on equipment.
  • Grease and lubricate equipment, check and add fluids as needed.
  • Operate excavators, forklifts/bobcats, front-loaders, balers, backhoes, track hoes, bulldozers, compactors, and steer equipment safely and efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Completion of forklift certification.
  • Ability to obtain Transfer Station/Landfill Operations Certification if needed.
  • Ability to frequently lift/push/pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
