About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team at Richmond Cabinets Ltd as a Cabinetmaker's Helper. This is a permanent position with a 40-hour workweek.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials with precision and care.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt with attention to detail.
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Apply varnish, veneer, stain, or polish to finished products with a focus on quality.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company standards.
  • Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products with a keen eye for detail.
  • Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products, as well as prepare and apply laminated plastics.
Requirements
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment is an asset.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail are essential.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and handle weights over 45 kg (100 lbs).
  • Accurate, organized, and a team player with excellent communication skills.
Work Environment

Our custom cabinet shop is a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of materials and tools.

Language and Work Term

This position requires English language proficiency and a permanent work term.

Hours of Work

40 hours per week, with a regular schedule.
