About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate or Counsel to join our team at The Hum Law Firm in Toronto. As a key member of our Employment Law practice, you will provide expert legal advice on various employment law matters to both employers and employees, and in litigation and the development of legal strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert legal advice on employment law matters, including wrongful dismissal claims and human rights applications.
  • Develop and implement effective legal strategies to achieve successful client outcomes.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and manage files independently, with minimal support.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with clients and the team on legal strategies and litigation updates.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in employment/labour law, with a demonstrated understanding of complex legal issues.
  • Excellent English language skills, both written and oral, with French language skills or additional languages an asset.
  • Strong advocacy skills, both written and oral, with the ability to draft demand letters, settlement documentation, pleadings, motions, affidavits, and other legal documents within tight timelines.
